Cookie Policy

This page describes the cookies used on the official site adenofrin.net, in compliance with the Indian Information Technology Act 2000, the Digital Personal Data Protection Act 2023 (DPDP Act) and the IT Rules. By continuing browsing without changing your browser settings, you consent to the use of the technical cookies described below.

What are cookies

Cookies are small text files that websites store on the user's device during browsing, primarily to remember preferences, authenticate the user or collect aggregated statistics on site use. They do not contain identifying personal data and can be blocked or deleted from browser settings.

Cookies used on this site

  • Technical session cookies: indispensable for site functioning, ensuring correct execution of requests during the session (e.g. order form submission, prevention of request duplication). Do not require prior consent.
  • Security cookies: protect the site from automated attacks (CSRF, brute force) and maintain session integrity. These are essential technical cookies.
  • Local preference cookies: remember settings such as the site language (e.g. /in/ for India, /es/ for Spain). These are functional technical cookies.
  • Aggregated analytics cookies: when used, they are configured with IP anonymisation and exclusively aggregated statistical purposes.

How to manage cookies

You may manage cookies directly from your browser settings. Procedures are described on the websites of the main browsers:

  • Google Chrome — support.google.com/chrome → Cookies
  • Mozilla Firefox — support.mozilla.org → Cookies
  • Apple Safari — support.apple.com → Privacy Safari
  • Microsoft Edge — support.microsoft.com → Cookies Edge

Blocking essential technical cookies may cause malfunction of the order form or other interactive features of the site.

Legal basis under Indian law

Cookie usage on this site is regulated by the Information Technology Act, 2000 (Section 43A, Section 79 on intermediary liability), the Information Technology (Reasonable Security Practices and Procedures and Sensitive Personal Data or Information) Rules, 2011, and the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (DPDP Act). Strictly necessary cookies (session, security, language) are placed without prior consent as their use is necessary for the provision of the service expressly requested by the user, in line with Section 7(g) of the DPDP Act (specified lawful purpose with deemed consent). Analytics and marketing cookies are activated only upon explicit consent, recorded by means of the consent banner displayed on first visit, in conformity with Section 6 of the DPDP Act (free, specific, informed, unconditional and unambiguous consent expressed by a clear affirmative action).

Specific cookie inventory

  • SESSID — session, expires when the browser is closed; preserves the state of the order form.
  • csrf_token — session, expires when the browser is closed; prevents Cross-Site Request Forgery attacks.
  • lang_pref — persistent, valid for 12 months; remembers the language preference (en-IN/es/it/bg/gr/cy/ar/pt/mx).
  • cookie_consent — persistent, valid for 6 months; stores your decision regarding non-essential cookies.

Third-party cookies

By default, adenofrin.net does not deploy third-party cookies such as Google Analytics, Meta Pixel, Hotjar or advertising network pixels. Should such cookies be activated in future, this page shall be updated and an explicit consent banner shall be displayed in compliance with the DPDP Act 2023 and the principle of purpose limitation (Section 5). Data shared with payment gateway providers (only relevant in case of online prepaid orders, not for the current Cash on Delivery flow) would be subject to their respective privacy policies registered with the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) under the Payment and Settlement Systems Act, 2007.

Browser-level Do Not Track and global privacy controls

Although Indian law does not currently mandate compliance with the Do Not Track HTTP header or the W3C Tracking Preference Expression, we voluntarily honour Do Not Track signals from major browsers (Chrome via extension, Firefox, Safari, Edge, Brave) by suppressing non-essential cookies even before consent banner interaction. This goes beyond the minimum required and is in line with the privacy-by-design principle outlined in Section 8 of the DPDP Act.

Complaints and grievance officer

For grievances concerning cookies or tracking technologies, contact the grievance officer at support@adenofrin.net per Rule 5(9) of the IT Rules, 2021. Acknowledgement is provided within 24 working hours and resolution within 15 days. Unresolved grievances may be escalated to the Data Protection Board of India once notified under Section 18 of the DPDP Act, or in the interim to the Adjudicating Officer under Section 46 of the IT Act, 2000.
